Over the last century Leupold has created many innovations that have become industry standards, the benchmarks by which others are judged. They have successfully earned the trust of customers by offering optics at a good value that can be counted on to provide years of trouble-free service.
Leupold offers an incredibly wide range of binoculars, in both full size and compact models, high-tech roof prism designs, and classic porro prism models. If you're looking for high performance or affordability, the Leupold binocular you choose will deliver exceptional brightness and clarity, ruggedness, and waterproof integrity in all conditions.
Leupold riflescopes are built to endure the worst the wilds have to offer, and still make the shot of a lifetime. Sometimes you need to reach a little farther than your binoculars are capable of doing…when that time comes, you can reach for Leupold spotting scopes which deliver the astounding power, exceptional resolution, and rugged, waterproof performance.
Leupold introduces VX-3 riflescopes. Actually, VX-3 is the third generation of a line that goes back to the 1970s, when Vari-X III scopes were first introduced. These Leupold scopes quickly became very popular and remained the "flagship" of Leupold's line for many years.
In 2004, Leupold replaced the Vari-X III with the VX-3, featuring the exclusive Index Matched Lens System and the Ballistics Aiming System, which includes the Boone and Crockett Big Game reticle, the first optical product ever to bear the Boone and Crockett Club name. Ingrained with the thrill of the hunt, this new Leupold scope drastically improves optical performance, mechanical function, and durability.
The Xtended Twilight Lens System optimizes the transmission of low-light wavelengths, so you see the details of low-light scenes in greater, brighter detail than with any other riflescope available. DiamondCoat 2 lens coatings on exterior lens surfaces provide the highest level of scratch resistance Leupold has ever offered. The twin bias spring exerts up to 30 percent more holding force on the erector, virtually eliminating erector system backlash and stress on the vital internal workings of the scope, for longer life. Blackened lens edges reduce light diffusion, so more usable light reaches the shooter's eye, for a brighter image with increased contrast.
"Progress and development should never stop," says Mike Slack, Leupold's marketing communications manager. "The VX-3 is a leap forward in the areas of mechanical reliability, light management and ruggedness. Hunters and shooters are going to love all the new features the line has to offer."
